The marketing guru was fired last year allegedly for reasons the SABC does not want to disclose.
CCMA spokeswoman Laura Mseme confirmed that Rasefate lodged a complaint of unfair dismissal against the SABC with the labour dispute management body.
"The CCMA confirms receipt of an unfair dismissal referral from Ms Rasefate against SABC, referred on her behalf by the union Bemawu [Broadcasting, Electronic, Media & Allied Workers Union] on 20 April 2015," Mseme said.
"The matter was set down for conciliation on 6 May 2015 and it remained unresolved. It was set down for arbitration and not finalised as parties requested time to negotiate a settlement. The CCMA will proceed with arbitration on receipt of a request from the parties."
