A South Sudanese woman accused of serving alcohol to minors at her Phenom Estate house in Langata, Nairobi, has been released on bond.
Mary Nanyuk, a wife of a top military general, was ordered to deposit a Sh500,000 bond with two Kenyan sureties or pay a Sh100,000 cash bail.
She will also deposit her passport in court.
A second count of being in Kenya illegally seems to have hit a wall after the prosecution said she had a valid visa.
Ms Nanyuk was to appear in court on Thursday but a production order was issued for Wednesday for application of a bond that the prosecution did not oppose.
MILITARY GENERAL
On Monday, Langata OCS Derrick Nyagah told the court that he released her from custody after it emerged she was the wife of a senior military general in South Sudan.
