The Tanzania Communication Regulatory Authority (TCRA) will release telephone numbers of fake handset users in the country.
TCRA communication expert Sayyida Mohamed said a system has been developed that will ensure fake mobile phones will not be registered.
According to statistics released by the authority, the number of mobile phone subscribers rose by 16 per cent to 31.86 million in 2014. It was estimated that 38 per cent of the subscribers use fake gadgets.
