Mbeya/Kyela. Three people have been hanged and burned in one of Mexico Guest house’s rooms in Kyela Town, Mbeya Region. The mysterious killings, which involved people who had hired rooms in the guest house, took place on Saturday night.
The owner of the guest house situated on Kyela Central Street, Mr Boniface Mtengela, said the deceased were among four people who arrived together at the hotel on Saturday around 10pm.
He said the murdered were two men who registered as Ali and Hassani while the woman registered as Mariam.
“One man hired room No. 14, another room No. 105 and the one who slept with the woman hired room No.15, but the man who slept with her was nowhere to be seen after the killings,” he said.
The Senior Medical Officer of the Kyela District Hospital, Francis Mhagama, said preliminary investigation shows that the deceased were hanged and then piled up in one room after which their bodies were doused with kerosene and the set on fire.
